Scope Note: An invitation to submit a proposal to provide goods or services, designed for suppliers to provide a creative solution to a business problem or issue. A request for Proposal (RFP) will typically leave all or part of the response to the discretion of the suppliers. RFP's are used when the organisation knows what needs to be accomplished, but allows the supplier to offer best solutions. See Request for Tender (RFT) for a more structured invitation for suppliers to respond to a defined need. |
