Scope Note:
ECU initiated investigations into events through the process of discovering facts and providing evidence in the form of records, submissions staff etc, to determine whether any breaches of rules and regulations administered by ECU have occurred, and/or whether a response is required. Includes the capture of preliminary investigations into claims of misconduct.

See DISCIPLINE - Misconduct for the activities and actions carried out through the disciplinary process, resulting from the initial investigations which identify misconduct has occurred.

See GRIEVANCES for the activities associated with the handling and resolution of grievances. Includes handling complaints over perceived discrimination, those arising over work environment, work organisation or distribution, peers, supervisors or subordinates.

See DISPUTES for the process of handling any disagreement pertaining to awards, agreements, demarcation issues, breaches or injunctions, secret ballots, etc.
